Founded in May 1995 Shenzhen, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. is one of the first chain drugstore enterprises in China. It is one of the subsidiaries of CHINA ASSOCIATE （GROUP）CO., LTD., which is a mixed-ownership corporation with twenty-two shareholders, among most of which are pharmaceutical companies throughout the country; but the staff of the corporation is its biggest shareholder.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, China’s first Special Economic Zone, CHINA ASSOCIATE (GROUP) CO., LTD. is a group company active in businesses of pharmaceutical manufacturing, pharmaceutical import & export business, pharmaceutical retailing & wholesaling business, and real estate management etc. Running chain drugstore is one of the most important business activities of the corporation.
During the past ten-plus years since its foundation, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. carries out “scientific, strict, standardized” management policy, sticks to its characteristic of “six unification” management, continually standardizes and upgrades its eight management systems. Now CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. has had more than three hundred chain drugstores spreading out in about 20 cities in China.
In 1997, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. was awarded the titles of “National Pilot Civilized Drugstore” and “National Good Sales Practice Pilot Drugstore”.
At the same year of 1997, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY began to carry out the project of operating chain drugstores in other provinces rather than Guangdong Province, and then the Hubei subsidiary of CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. was established. CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. becomes the first and the sole one in Chinese pharmaceutical retailing industry which successfully running transprovincial drugstore chains.?
In 1999, as one of the first experimental units in carrying out classification management of prescription medicines and OTC products, all stores in our chain passed the experimental standard within half a year. CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. becomes the first drugstore chain passing through the acceptance of classification management of prescription medicines and OTC products.
In April 2000, The Drug Administration of Guangdong Province approved CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. to establish its chain drugstores throughout Guangdong Province.
In August 2000, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. got the permission from The Drug Administration of Hubei Province to establish its chain drugstores throughout Hubei Province.
In August 2000, The State Drug Administration of China authenticated and approved CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. as one of the experimental enterprises to carry out transprovincial drugstore chain in the country.
So far, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. has realized several “No.1” in Chinese pharmaceutical retailing industry in the following respects:
The first one realizing standardized chain management;
The first one carrying out transprovincial chain operation;
The first one realizing data management system in transprovincial chain drugstores;

In Nov.2004, CHINA ASSOCIATE PHARMACY CO., LTD. became the “Top 10 China chain drugstore” and the “Top 100 China chain corporation”.
We will increase our chain drugstores in other provinces in the coming years. It is planned that our store number will come up to 2000 three years later.
